Independent presidential candidate Faris Maumoon has committed to outlining a strategy for economic growth and debt relief.
In a special programme, Faris expressed his intention to chart a path toward overcoming prevailing economic challenges. He outlined his blueprint for unlocking fresh opportunities within the economy and possessing the solution to address the ongoing economic turmoil. He highlighted that it stands as a significant distinguishing factor between his manifesto and those of other parties.
Additionally, Faris stated his intention to formulate a comprehensive long-term national development plan. He indicated that the plan would undergo a public referendum to facilitate economic expansion. His manifesto also encompasses the establishment of transit harbors, fuel bunkering in designated regions, and the creation of a specialised economic zone to facilitate re-export activities.
