Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has joined the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Minister Mausoom signed as a member of the party during a special ceremony held at Salt Cafe' and Restaurant in Male' City. His membership form was received by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during the ceremony.
Minister Mausoom announced his resignation from the Jumhooree Party (JP) on August 7. He had also announced his support for President Solih's re-election bid in the upcoming presidential election.
