Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the presidential candidate of the People's National Congress (PNC), has committed to addressing the parking challenges in Male' City by assigning parking slots to individuals and officially registering the slots under their respective names.
At the opening of a campaign centre in Male', Muizzu highlighted the pressing nature of the parking issue in Male'. He outlined plans to construct designated parking areas and structures as a resolution. Additionally, he pledged to enable vehicle registration for the parking spaces, eliminating the need for a garage letter. Muizzu also expressed his commitment to introducing pertinent legal revisions to establish a lasting solution for the issue.
Additionally, Muizzu revealed his intention to modernise the road infrastructure within Male'. He criticised the government for allegedly halting a USD23.9 million road development project initiated by the Male' City Council. He also voiced disapproval regarding the ongoing development of Ameenee Magu. Muizzu emphasised his plan to develop major roads with asphalt and enhance smaller roads as part of the modernisation process.
