Gov't hires contractor to build mosques in Muraidhoo, Gemanafushi

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has hired Evosun Maldives Private Limited to build mosques in Muraidhoo in Haa Alifu Atoll and Gemanafushi in Gaafu Alifu Atoll.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali and Director at Evosun Maldives Hussain Waheed. At the signing ceremony, Minister Zahir said that the government will give its support for the completion of the project, as citizens have high expectations for the development of mosques in the atolls.

As part of the project, Evosun Maldives will be building mosques with the capacity to accommodate 300 worshipers in Muraidhoo for USD519,000 and Gemanafushi for USD649,000. The company has been given 365 days to complete the construction of the mosques, which will be built to accommodate both men and women.
