President pledges to expand Dharavandhoo Airport

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has pledged to expand the airport and further develop the health centre in Dharavandhoo, Baa Atoll.

At a campaign event, President Solih detailed his plans for the development of Dharavandhoo in his second term. He highlighted that Dharavandhoo has the busiest and most profitable domestic airports in the region and said that if he is elected for a second term, he will expand the services of the airport. He also vowed to make necessary changes to the island's health centre and improve the quality of the services.

Additionally, President Solih pledged to develop row houses or flats and a picnic island for the residents of Dharavandhoo. He also pledged to build more classrooms and office space for the school and develop the main roads on the island. He added that he would commence the second phase of the shore protection project as well as develop an office complex and an outpost for Hanifaru Bay if elected for a second term.
