Nazim pledges to establish urban centers in North and South

Mohamed Nazim, the presidential candidate of the Maldives National Party (MNP), has made a pledge to establish two distinct urban centers in both the northern and southern regions of the country.

Responding to a question during a radio program on the PSM Radio channel, Nazim clarified that MNP's approach does not entail concentrating all development within the city. Instead, he elaborated on the party's plan to create two urban hubs, fostering the growth of larger cities across various parts of the nation. He said the strategy aims to offer diverse living options for people across the country, moving away from urban congestion. He emphasised his determination to enhance the quality of life for residents on islands, addressing the challenges they face and striving for greater peace and prosperity.

Highlighting the Pension Scheme, Nazim stressed the importance of allowing full utilisation of pension funds. He advocated for the pension to be allocated for Hajj and Umrah expenses. Earlier, he had pledged to permit individuals to withdraw funds from the pension scheme once they reach the age of 55.

As part of his presidential campaign, Nazim is actively visiting various islands, engaging with citizens, attentively listening to their concerns, and vowing to provide solutions to their challenges.
