Hithadhoo-Hulhumeedhoo bridge project will be made reality: Muizzu

Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the presidential candidate of the People's National Congress (PNC), has pledged to establish a bridge connecting the separate island of Hulhumeedhoo to the rest of Addu City.

Addressing a campaign gathering in Hithadhoo, Dr. Muizzu shared his comprehensive vision for the development of Addu City. He emphasised that the progress of the Maldives is inherently linked to the availability of housing and employment prospects.

Dr. Muizzu outlined his strategic plan for significant economic activities within Addu City, highlighting his determination to transform the concept of Coastal Tourism into a reality. Under this initiative, he expressed his intention to create 6,000 new tourism beds and generate 10,000 fresh employment opportunities. Additionally, he pledged to establish a seaplane hub in Addu City, aimed at benefiting the southern region of the country.

Dr. Muizzu assured that he would bring to reality the bridge project connecting Hithadhoo and Hulhumeedhoo, in alignment with the vision set forth by former President Abdulla Yameen. He further committed to enhancing the services provided by the Addu Equatorial Hospital.

Moreover, Dr. Muizzu announced comprehensive plans for educational development, including school improvements, and highlighted his intention to launch major housing initiatives within Addu City.
