Ministry of Tourism has signed an agreement with Uber Events and Artists Private Limited to provide training for disk jockeys (DJs) at various resorts. The agreement to conduct a programme to train DJs was signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Tourism Ministry Fathimath Nilfa and Director of Uber Events and Artists Umar Ziyad during a ceremony held at the tourism ministry.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister of Tourism Abdulla Mausoom highlighted the widespread popularity of working as a DJ in the Maldives. He noted the significant interest among individuals eager to pursue the profession and emphasised that the programme would play a pivotal role in enhancing their skills.
Meanwhile, Umar noted that the programme aims to offer fundamental training and essential knowledge for individuals aspiring to work as DJs. He added that the initiative would accommodate 20 enthusiastic participants, with a preference for those already involved in the industry.
The tourism ministry announced that individuals interested in the programme can apply without any registration fee.
