Visa exemption for Maldivians travelling to Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan provides visa exemptions for Maldivian nationals.

The visa exemption will allow Maldivians holding valid diplomatic, official and ordinary passports to enter and stay in Kyrgyzstan for a maximum period of 30 days from the day of their entry. In accordance with the visa exemption agreement, Maldivians intending to stay for a longer period or to work or to attend an educational institution or conduct business in Kyrgyzstan, will need to obtain an appropriate visa prior to travel.

The Maldives and Kyrgyzstan signed the visa exemption agreement in September 2022. The agreement was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Abdulla Shahid and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Zheenbek Kulubaev. The government is working to allow visa-free travel to more countries and facilitate easier means by which Maldivians can obtain visas.
