Funds will be secured to commence projects in next term: President

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has assured that funds will be secured to commence more projects in his next term.

At a campaign event in Kendhikulhudhoo, Noonu Atoll, President Solih, the candidate of the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), said that plans have been formulated to make major changes to the country's economy. He also said that the funds needed from foreign banks and nations to conduct the projects will be secured.

As such, President Solih said that he has held discussions with foreign parties after forming the new coalition. He said that they were reassured after being informed that the President of Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) Ahmed Siyam was a coalition partner. He added that the new ruling coalition consisting of MDP, MDA, and Adhaalath Party is committed to serving the people.
