President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that a plan will be implemented to solve the drug problem in all inhabited islands in his next term.

At a campaign event in Maalhendhoo, Noonu Atoll, President Solih noted that drug-related problems are a countrywide issue and that the widespread sale of illicit drugs is impacting children. He pledged to solve all drug-related problems in all parts of the country in his next term.

Additionally, President Solih highlighted the plans formulated to develop Maalhendhoo, which include establishing a laboratory at the island's health centre and transforming it into a 24hr healthcare provider. He also pledged to develop the harbour and build a volley court on the island.

Furthermore, President Solih visited Kudafari, Noonu Atoll, and pledged to solve the island's housing issue by building row houses that will be able to house 200 families. He added that he would provide the opportunity for residents to receive loans with an interest of less than 6% to build their own private homes.
