President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has pledged to solve the housing issues in Gaafu Alifu Atoll if he is elected for a second term.
During campaign events in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, President Solih pledged to build housing units on every inhabited island in Gaafu Alifu Atoll and commence more housing projects in other parts of the country. He also pledged to upgrade the health centre, establish banking services, and develop the roads in Dhaandhoo and to transform the health centre in Kolamaafushi into a hospital.
Additionally, President Solih highlighted the work that still needs to be done for national development. He said that elected officials can only move forward without political turmoil, adding that the Maldives is heading further towards democracy. He also said that his pledges were formulated after listening to the concerns of citizens.
