President inaugurates development projects in Shaviyani Atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the completion of several development projects during his visit to Shaviyani Atoll.

As such, President Solih inaugurated the newly developed football ground and office of Fenaka Corporation Limited in Milandhoo. The football stadium in Milandhoo has been upgraded to meet modern specifications, providing players and spectators with modern amenities. In addition, the newly developed three-story Fenaka office was designed with modern features to accommodate 54 staff members.

Additionally, President Solih visited Narudhoo and inaugurated the completion of the three-story new building for Narudhoo School, the extension building for the healthcare centre, and the new Fenaka powerhouse. The new building for Narudhoo School features six classrooms, a staff room, a health room, and a computer laboratory. In addition, the new wing for the health centre includes an administrative space for managing healthcare staff, a public health unit offering preventive and promotive health services, a counselling room, a medical store ensuring the availability of essential medicines and supplies, and a general store.

The powerhouse built in Narudhoo can accommodate 40 staff members and has modern facilities. The facility is strategically located away from residential areas and has a power generation capacity of 628KW. The old powerhouse was built in the centre of the residential neighbourhood 31 years ago.

Furthermore, President Solih inaugurated the completion of the newly developed football ground in Funadhoo. The football ground features a turf-covered playing field and modern amenities and is part of the administration's initiative to provide modern football grounds, futsal fields, and sports courts throughout the atolls.
