Ministry of Health has hired Saushan Construction Private Limited to expand the health centre in Hulhudhuffaaru, Raa Atoll.
The agreement was signed by Senior Executive Director at the Health Ministry Abdul Hannan Hussain and General Manager of Saushan Construction Mohamed Khaleel. The company is tasked with constructing an extension building for the health centre within 120 days at a cost of USD233,000.
Speaking to PSM News, Senior Administrator Abdul Shareef said that Hulhudhuffaaru Health Centre is facing space constraints and that the COVID-19 pandemic has hampered its 24/7 services. He expressed confidence that the project will solve the issue and pave the way for the hiring of pediatricians. He further said that the new building will assist in the development of healthcare services and administrative functions.
