President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has arrived in Hinnavaru, Lhaviyani Atoll, on an unofficial visit.
Upon arrival on his birth island, President Solih was welcomed by a large number of residents of Hinnavaru. He will meet with the residents of the island during the visit and take part in the Eid al-Adha celebrations.
Prior to his visit to Hinnavaru, President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed celebrated Eid al-Adha with the residents of Thoddoo, Alifu Alifu Atoll. They received a welcoming reception from the community of Thoddoo upon their arrival and attended a traditional feast hosted by the women’s community of the island on the occasion of Eid.
