Academic year 2022-2023 concludes

The Ministry of Education has stated that students will receive books for the new academic year by July 15 after the holidays following the conclusion of the 2022-2023 academic.

The 2022-2023 academic year has concluded after schools presented reports to students and book list vouchers have been issued to all students. The 2022-2023 academic year began on August 8 last year.

The education ministry is making preparations for the upcoming academic year. The ministry stated that the textbooks will be distributed to all students from grades 1-6. However, students in Key Stage 1 will be issued Creative Arts subject books on the basis of one book for every five students. Similarly, textbooks in Computer Science, Travel and Tourism and Marine Science, Dhivehi Language, Islam, and Quran will be distributed to Grades 9 and 10. Students will use textbooks for other subjects digitally.

After the school holidays, the new academic year will start on August 6. Three new schools will be opened in the Greater Male' Region for the new academic year. It includes Dharumavantha School, Salahuddin School, and the new Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) building to be opened in Hulhumale'. The ministry also opened the opportunity for individuals who seek to enroll students in grades two and above at Salahuddin School.
