Guraidhoo Island Council has opened land plots for water sports businesses.
The council announced that four land plots in Guriadhoo, Kaafu Atoll, have been opened for water sports businesses. Interested parties are required to register by June 22 by paying USD649. Bids are to be submitted on July 3, 0900hrs at the council office and those who do not register are not allowed to attend.
The land plots will be leased for a 10-year period to registered businesses. Guraidhoo has become a popular holiday destination for locals and tourists, and the establishment of more water sports businesses is expected to expand local tourism in the island.
