MTCC contracted to develop Innamaadhoo harbour

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has contracted the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) for the development of the harbour in Innamaadhoo, Raa Atoll. The agreement was signed by the Director General of the Planning Ministry Fathimath Shaana Farooq and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MTCC Shahid Hussain Moosa.

The scope of the project includes 32,310cbm of new harbour basin dredging, maintenance dredging of 14,417cbm, 950cbm of channel dredging, 204m of the breakwater, 178m of revetment, 18m groynes, 472m of quay wall, 2,716sqm pavement, installation of two navigational aids, installation of two mooring rings, installation of 16 mooring buoys, 20 street lights and a concrete jetty and a ramp will be constructed.

The project has been awarded to MTCC to be completed within 390 days at a cost of USD4.7 million.
