Vice President Faisal Naseem has attended the inauguration ceremony of President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as the Special Envoy of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The ceremony was held at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.
President Erdoğan secured a third term in office through re-election on May 28. Heads of State and Government attended the inauguration ceremony. Subsequently, Vice President Naseem also participated in an official dinner hosted by President Erdoğan in honour of the visiting delegates.
The Maldives and Türkiye formally established diplomatic relations on May 28, 1979.
