Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Mohamed Fulhu has officially inaugurated the Head Office of the Maldives Correctional Service (MCS). The office has been relocated to the Public Service Media (PSM) Radio Building. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Ibrahim Mohamed Didi and MCS employees.
Speaking at the ceremony, Commissioner Ahmed said that the relocation to another building was not planned this year, adding MCS faced major challenges with the closing of the head office. In addition, he noted the unity shown by the officers and employees until the relocation to the new building within a span of a month.
The government decided to demolish the Ghaazee Building, in which the MCS Head Office has been located for the past 11 years and replaced it with a parking zone.
