Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has revealed that the Maldives and Nepal are preparing to introduce travel packages for tourists. He made the announcement at the PATA Annual Summit and Adventure Mart 2023 in Pokhara, Nepal.
Speaking to PSM News, Minister Mausoom noted that both the Maldives and Nepal have distinct natural environments, as the Maldives has sandy beaches and ocean while Nepal has mountains, valleys, and waterfalls. He, therefore, said that the relevant authorities are holding discussions to market both countries together with dual destination travel packages.
Furthermore, Minister Mausoom also participated in a panel discussion at the PATA Annual Summit and spoke on the efforts to promote sustainable tourism in the Maldives as part of the Fifth Tourism Master Plan. He is also scheduled to speak at the youth symposium during the event, which will focus on human resources in the tourism industry.
