Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has praised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its invaluable service to the Maldives. He made the remarks during his visit to Fathulla Jameel Building.
During his visit, Maumoon signed the Condolence Book opened in the foreign ministry in memory of the late Abida Ahmed who served the government with distinction for more than 40 years. He also praised the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid and all the employees of the ministry for their invaluable service to the government and the citizens of the Maldives.
The former president was welcomed by Minister Shahid and members of the executive committee. He also extended his condolences to all the employees of the ministry on the death of the late Abida Ahmed.
