JSC appoints two judges to courts

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has appointed Judge Adam Mohamed as Chief Judge of the Criminal Court of the Maldives and Judge Nimal Junaid as Chief Judge of the Civil Court of the Maldives.

The newly appointed judges were presented with their letters of appointment by the President of JSC Hisaan Hussain at a ceremony held at the commission. Judge Adam Mohamed was previously a Judge of the Criminal Court and Judge Nimal Junaid was a Judge of the Civil Court.

The two posts remained vacant after the appointment of the last Chief Judge of the Criminal Court Ahmed Shakeel as the Judge for the High Court and the retirement of the Chief Judge of the Civil Court Abdulla Ali.
