Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed the Maldives will be signing five key agreements with Serbia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid arrived in Belgrade, Serbia, on an official visit from May 8-10. During the visit, Minister Shahid is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dačić, and will be signing five key agreements.
In a statement, the ministry said the agreements to be signed between the Maldives and Serbia include an agreement on the Abolition of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports, an agreement on Trade, Investment and Economic Cooperation, an agreement on Air Services, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in the field of Diplomatic Education, and a MoU in the Field of Sports.
It is the second official visit Minister Shahid has undertaken to Serbia and signifies a step towards a greater bilateral exchange between both countries.
