Fenaka Corporation Limited has completed 91 projects, including power plants and office buildings as part of its efforts to improve the electricity situation in the islands.
Fenaka stated that many power plants have been relocated away from residential areas during the past four years so as to not disrupt the public. The company stated that projects included the relocation of power plants and the construction of office buildings in islands. The company has completed a total of 91 projects, including power plants and office buildings so far. In addition, the practical work of more projects on other islands is underway.
Managing Director of Fenaka Ahmed Saeed Mohamed said the company is making efforts to bring modern improvements to its service. He said the company has converted the electricity cable network of more than 100 islands. In addition, an instant electricity bill delivery service has been launched on the islands. He also said that the smart metre service is also ready to be launched by the company.
Fenaka stated that USD129.7 million has been spent on infrastructure development projects to increase electricity capacity in the past four years. The company is providing electricity services to more than 150 islands in the country.
