The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has begun marketing the Maldives as a tourist destination at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023, as part of the efforts to reconnect with travel trade from the Middle East.
ATM 2023 is held from May 1-4, at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). ATM is the leading global event for the inbound and outbound travel industry in the Middle East. For the last 28 years, the annual event has connected products and destinations from around the world with buyers and travel trade visitors. It aims to support the travel industry and facilitate important business connections.
MMPRC will represent the destination at the event with the largest stand and delegation of representatives. The stand is designed to showcase the beauty of the Maldives. In addition, a 360 photo booth has been set up at the stand where participants can capture the scenery of the Maldives in slow motion.
The fair will also include a press conference called the Maldives Media Meet. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of MMPRC Thoyyib Mohamed and Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Aminath Shabeena will attend the press conference. A total of 202 exhibitors from 90 companies will participate in the fair.
Participation in large-scale events such as ATM 2023 provides the Maldives with the opportunity to relay the latest destination information, and travel guidelines to the Middle East market, while also providing the opportunity to market the destination as a safe haven.
