Siyam denies allegations made against Sun Siyam Resorts

Chairman of Sun Siyam Resorts Ahmed Siyam Mohamed has denied the allegations made against his company. He made the remark in a press release in response to a report published regarding an order from the High Court of the Maldives ordering the company to postpone payment to Hilton Maldives.

In the press release, Siyam accused the media outlet of defaming him and his company instead of publishing accurate information regarding the case. He said the report had numerous inaccurate information and also slandered him for his political views. He denied the report’s claim that Hilton had invested in Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, clarifying that Sun Siyam Resorts invested in Iru Fushi and Hilton was tasked with managing the resort. He also criticised the report for claiming without evidence that the High Court’s order was politically motivated.

Additionally, Siyam said that the report was published in an attempt to damage his reputation and business. He further denied that he had threatened the reporter and the media outlet and urged them to be more responsible in their reporting.
