Ministry of Education has contracted Nexstar Maldives Private Limited to complete the construction of classrooms at the Noonu Atoll Education Centre.
The agreement was signed by Senior Policy Director at the Education Ministry Naushad Ibrahim and Managing Director of Nexstar Maldives Ahmed Muzheen. As per the project, Nexstar Maldives will build four classrooms within 110 days at a cost of USD292,000. The project is funded under the 2021 Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
Noonu Atoll Education Centre is located in Velidhoo. The island has a population of over 2,500.
