MPL cleared average of 187 containers daily in March

The Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) revealed that the number of containers of perishable goods cleared in March increased compared to February.

The latest statistics published by MPL show that 4,172 containers of perishable goods were cleared in March. These include 2,551 20ft containers and 1,621 40ft containers. It is an average of 187 containers daily which is a 31% increase compared to February. A total of 143 containers were cleared daily in February. A total of 30 conventional vessels and 10 container vessels arrived in Male' City in March, according to statistics.

MPL is working to expedite its services and the time taken to clear goods has been reduced compared to the previous years. The company's digitalisation efforts have now made it possible for customers to get all the information they need from one place.
