Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that Maldivian nationals travelling to Oman will be exempted from entry visas.
In a statement, the foreign ministry said visa exemption allows Maldivians holding valid passports to enter and stay in Oman for a maximum period of 14 days from the day of their entry. The visa exemption is subject to certain requirements including passport validity of a minimum of six months, a prior and confirmed hotel booking, health insurance, and a return ticket.
The government of the Maldives considers the visa exemption to Oman for Maldivians as a gesture of close and cordial relations between the two countries and a testament to the high regard accorded to the Maldives by Oman.
