Vice President inaugurates Masjid al-Walidain in Addu

Vice President Faisal Naseem has officially inaugurated Masjid al-Walidain, a new mosque developed on Hithadhoo in Addu City.

Speaking briefly at a function to mark the mosque’s opening, Vice President Naseem called on the public to make the best use of the holy month of Ramadan and devote more time to religious practices. The new mosque, donated to the community by a generous benefactor, has a capacity of 250 people and features a dedicated area for women.

Before visiting the mosque for its opening, Vice President Naseem visited the Maldivian Aviation Academy on Gan and met with the senior management. They shared with him some challenges, including difficulties in recruiting new instructors.

Vice President Naseem is currently on a one-day visit to Addu.
