Gov't seeks parties to design 400 housing units in Hulhumale'

Ministry of Finance has announced that it is seeking interested parties for the design and supervision of 400 housing units to be constructed in Hulhumale'. The ministry has now opened the opportunity to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the project.

The finance ministry said the project will be implemented with the assistance of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). The consultancy services include the preparation of tender documents, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), detailed design review, and the supervision of contractor work. In addition, the selection of a contractor will be based on Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) conducted in accordance in accordance with the SFD Guidelines for the Use of Consultants.

The opportunity to submit EOIs is open until April 26 and interested candidates must prove their ability to work on the project. As such, work experience, educational qualifications, and curriculum vitae should be submitted. In addition, all parties involved must fulfill all the responsibilities specified in the contract if it is a joint venture, according to the finance ministry.

The government is giving top priority to the development of housing projects, including social housing, amid-range, and mixed residential projects. There are currently more than 6,000 housing units under construction in the Greater Male' Region.
