Concessions to be given to market stall operators

Male' City Council has decided to give concessions to market stall operators in Villimale' and Male' City.

The city council decided to waive rent for four months and reduce the rent by 30% for four months. The council has also decided to renew the agreement between the local market and the tourist market for another year. The agreement for both markets expires on March 31.

Male' City Council said the decision was taken to provide relief to the stall owners in Villimale' as it is newly established. The council also decided to give concessions to the market stall operators due to the increase in the price of goods and the difficulties faced by the market operators.
