JSC to formulate a policy to allow judges to participate in training programmes

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to formulate a policy to allow judges to participate in long-term training programmes.

JSC stated that there is currently no policy to allow judges to accept long-term training opportunities to enhance their capacity. The commission stated the new policy will allow judges to receive salaries and allowances while participating in training programmes and courses.

JSC also made the decision to eliminate the obstacles faced by judges in participating in long-term training opportunities after their appointment and encourage them to pursue further education and improve their skills and abilities. It stated that the policy will be formulated to ensure that judges do not have to give up their positions to participate in training opportunities.
