Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has found no wrongdoing after investigating three judges regarding complaints submitted over disciplinary issues.
JSC investigated Judge of the High court Hussain Shaheed, Judge of the Criminal Court Safwath Habeeb, and Judge of the Civil Court Mariyam Waheed. The commission has stated that the investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing.
JSC did not reveal any information related to the complaint submitted against Judge Shaheed, while Judge Safwath was investigated for allegedly violating the Criminal Procedure Act by failing to give a ruling after receiving the summary statements. Judge Waheed was investigated for allegedly talking to an individual involved in a court case outside of a hearing and violating the policy related to giving rulings.
