Maldives Police Service (MPS) has revealed that efforts are underway to solve the problems encountered in the traffic flow in Male' City.
MPS said efforts are underway to improve the traffic flow to ensure a safe and secure environment for pedestrians and road users. MPS will also be involved in making traffic and parking arrangements in designated areas.
Additionally, MPS said it will meet with residents of different areas and explain the condition of the roads before the arrangements are made. Long-term parked vehicles and illegally parked vehicles will be removed from the areas, according to MPS. In addition, the designing and installation of no-parking boards and other traffic signs will be carried out in collaboration with the relevant authorities.
MPS said it plans to ensure a safe environment for residents living in Male' and provide the best possible service to the public.
