The National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) has signed an agreement with partners for the Maldives Marine Expo 2023. It is the eighth edition of the expo.
The Maldives Marine Expo is a platform for the marine industry featuring products, offerings, programmes, and panel discussions on industry topics. This year’s edition of the expo is being held from March 15-18 at Hulhumale’ Central Park. The signing ceremony was held at the Maagiri Hotel in Male' City.
Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is the official host of the Marine Expo. MTCC has been appointed as the marine sponsor. Gulf Craft Maldives is the cosponsor. Additional partners of the expo have also been signed.
Event Manager of the Maldives Marine Expo Sham Mohamed said that the main objective is to meet all the stakeholders of the boating industry in the Maldives and provide an opportunity to further market the industry. He also said that they are making efforts to include more new things in the expo every year. As such, he said the expo has given special emphasis to the diving sector.
Additionally, Sham said the expo is attracting interest internationally, adding the diving industry in Singapore is expressing interest in the expo and other international diving experts will also be present at the expo. He said that a large number of individuals are expressing interest and many of the slots at the expo have already been sold out. He, however, said there is still an opportunity for interested parties to participate in the expo. He also said that special activities for children will be conducted and the expo will also feature seminars on various aspects of the marine industry.
