Vice President Faisal Naseem has departed on an official visit to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to attend the World Government Summit 2023. He is travelling to the UAE at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The summit takes place from February 13-15.
The World Government Summit will focus on shaping a better future for humanity and highlight six main themes this year. It would bring together world leaders, global experts, and decision-makers to exchange ideas and contribute to developmental policies and models that would be critical in defining future governments.
During the visit, Vice President Naseem is scheduled to speak at the Future of Work Forum and attend the launch of the Maldives Leadership Programme. It is part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Maldives and the UAE last year.
Vice President Naseem is scheduled to conclude his visit and return to the Maldives on February 16.
