Gov't assures it cannot be defeated in island development

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) Adam Azim has stated that it is impossible to defeat President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih when it comes to the development of the islands. He made these remarks while speaking at the opening ceremony of Kudagiri Picnic Island.

Speaking at the ceremony, Azim said Kudagiri is twice the size of Kuda Bandos where residents of the Greater Male' Region went on picnics. He described it as an important pledge the president has fulfilled to the residents of the Greater Male’ Region. As such, he said the development that has come across the country and the project in Kaafu Atoll alone shows that the president has spread the positive impact of development throughout the country.

Additionally, Azim said MTCC is completing a development project every 11 days. He said MTCC has completed 135 projects during the last five years and 130 projects are already underway. He said MTCC has completed land reclamation projects in Maafushi, Huraa and Guraidhoo in Kaafu Atoll and completed the Kudagiri Picnic Island development project during the current presidential term.
