Gov’t that serves the people needed for nation to prosper: Home Minister

Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has stated that a government that serves the people is needed for a nation to prosper.

In a message on Twitter, Minister Imran praised the administration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and his successful effort to restore peace and stability in the last four years. He said that a prosperous nation can only be established by a government that serves the people.

In the Presidential Address at the Parliament of the Maldives, President Solih said that his administration restored peace, harmony, and stability by eliminating discrimination based on political leanings upheld by previous governments. He said that the administration will maintain societal stability, harmony, and peace through its ability to listen, consult, and compromise while steadfastly holding to its fundamental beliefs and values, adding that the administration's most pressing obligation in the future would be to preserve the peace, stability, and harmony maintained over the past four years.
