Ministry of Finance has extended the deadline for the submission of bids to build 400 housing units in Fuvahmulah City to February 21.
The finance ministry stated that the selection of the most qualified bidder will be conducted on the basis of the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) rules. A non-refundable registration fee of USD32 will be needed in order to participate in the bid. Payments will be accepted until the end of February 21 through the ministry's online payment portal, Bandeyri.
The finance ministry stated that the bid security for the project will be USD140,000. The term of the bid security is 148 days from the date of bid opening.
Fuvahmulah City has a population of over 14,000 residents, with 12,700 registered residents. The city has 491 hectares of land but faces housing issues due to the large undeveloped areas.
