Face recognition enabled to verify eFaas

National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) has introduced online face recognition for eFaas to enhance security.

Previously, individuals used to verify at the counters of government agencies that provide verification services before the introduction of the online face recognition service. However, the new web version will allow users to verify their own eFaas anywhere and anytime through face recognition technology. Verification of eFaas will identify the service is being provided to the authentic person to whom the eFaas login belongs.

The eFaas web app has been further developed and designed to provide easy access to information on how eFaas is being used. It includes portals logged in using eFaas and personal information shared with the portals.

The eFaas is the digital identity system used by the government and some state institutions to provide online services.
