Ministry of Islamic Affairs has signed an agreement to develop a mosque in Thinadhoo, Vaavu Atoll, with funding from a grant provided by a private party.
At the agreement signing ceremony, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali said developing mosques is a noble act and that he expects the mosque to be built in Thinadhoo within the deadline. He said the ministry will provide assistance to solve any challenges during construction.
The ministry plans to build a mosque with a capacity of 185 worshipers within 365 days.
