Gov't accords high priority to easing access to healthcare services

Vice President Faisal Naseem has noted that the administration accorded high priority to easing access to healthcare services. He made the statement while speaking at the function held to officially inaugurate the General Practice (GP) Clinic established by Hulhumalé Hospital in Hiya Tower 16 in Hulhumalé. After inaugurating the new clinic, the Vice President toured the facility and inquired about its services.

Speaking at the function, Vice President Naseem noted that the GP clinic would facilitate access to primary healthcare services for the tenants of the Hiya towers. He also assured the residents of the administration's commitment to establishing additional services targeting the residents of the neighbourhood.

Furthermore, Vice President Naseem also spoke about the benefits of inaugurating a GP clinic and emphasised the administration's continued commitment to enhance healthcare services across the country by developing healthcare centres and regional and atoll hospitals.

The GP clinic, located on the ground floor, also features a laboratory, nebulisation, ECG, immunisation, child development monitoring, and vaccination services. The clinic also features a State Trade Organization (STO) pharmacy. The GP clinic will be open weekdays from 1000-1700hrs.
