NDMA donates 20 oxygen cylinder regulators to MNDF

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has donated 20 oxygen cylinder regulators to the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) Medical Corps.

The items were handed over by Chief Executive of the NDMA Hisaan Hassan to the Surgeon General of MNDF Medical Corps Colonel Dr. Ali Shahid Mohamed. NDMA donated 20 regulators to be attached to oxygen cylinders for the use of the MNDF Medical Corps in efforts to enhance the capacity of the MNDF Medical Corps in emergency response services.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chief of Defense Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal said the NDMA staff also provides assistance in the event of fires and natural disasters. He also appreciated the NDMA for the assistance to the MNDF.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Defense Mariya Ahmed Didi, Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, General Officers of MNDF and senior officials of NDMA.
