Fenaka to develop water and sewerage systems in three islands

Fenaka Corporation Limited has been tasked with developing water and sewerage systems in Villingili in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, Nilandhoo in Faafu Atoll, and Hithadhoo in Addu City.

The agreements were signed by the Managing Director of Fenaka Ahmed Saeed and the Director General at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Fathimath Shaana Farooq.

As per the agreements, Fenaka is tasked with developing water and supply systems at the new residential area and reclaimed land in Villingili within 16 months at a cost of USD2.8 million. The scope of work includes the installation of sewerage pipes, junctions, sea outflow, and a pump station.

Additionally, Fenaka is contracted to develop water and supply systems at the new residential area in Hithadhoo within one year at a cost of USD1.4 million. The scope of work includes installing sewerage pipes and junctions, as well as developing a water supply system and connecting it to the current system on the island.

Furthermore, Fenaka will be upgrading the vacuum sewerage system in Nilandhoo within six months at a cost of USD2.7 million. The scope of work consists of the development of a vacuum station, the replacement of pumps, installing a sea outflow, and providing a sewer jetting machine.
