Fazeen appointed as Vice President of Broadcom

Mohamed Fazeen has been appointed as the Vice President of the Maldives Broadcasting Commission (Broadcom). The position become vacant after the resignation of Ahmed Gais on January 9.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed Fazeen as a member of Broadcom in 2021. He graduated with a Diploma in Information Technology from Villa College in July 2010. He started his journalism career in 2012 at Channel News Maldives (CNM) and later served as a Senior Video Journalist at Raajje TV from February 2014. He also has a background in hotel management and operations.

The President’s Office has opened applications for membership in Broadcom after the resignation of Gais. The President’s Office will be accepting applications from January 22-23. The commission consists of seven members.
