Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has stated that a special box for renewing prescriptions for long-term medicines has been set up on its premises.
Individuals who have been taking medicines for various diseases for a long time have been renewing their prescriptions after making an appointment in the past. IGMH said a special drop box will be set up to facilitate the current difficulties in renewing the prescription letter. The drop box will be located at the hospital's information counter. The box will be replaced by a renewed prescription the next day, according to IGMH.
The box will be open from 0900-1500hrs every day except for public holidays and Sundays. The patient will be contacted the next day to hand over the new prescription from 1000-1400hrs.
IGMH said the change was made to solve the difficulties encountered in obtaining new prescriptions.
