Maldives condemns continuous Israeli aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Maldives has condemned the continuous Israeli aggression against the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

During an open-ended meeting held by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Maldives condemned Minister of National Security of Israel Itamar Ben-Gvir's entry into the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The meeting was attended by Mohamed Khaleel, the Ambassador of the Maldives to Saudi Arabia and the Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the OIC.

During the meeting, Ambassador Khaleel called for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands, Israel's withdrawal to the former 1967 border, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, and East Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state. He also assured the Palestinian Authority and its citizens of the full cooperation of the government and citizens of the Maldives.
