Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has revealed it has provided over 890 legal counsels in 2022.
Statistics published by AGO show that it had provided legal counsel for 896 of the 959 cases submitted by state institutions.
As such, AGO provided legal counsel for 250 cases on signing agreements, 163 cases on regulations, 50 cases on policies, 25 cases on bill ratification, five cases on committees, and 403 cases on other matters.
The AGO has been publishing statistics of the legal counsels provided by the office on an annual basis since Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath took office. The AGO also publicises information on major cases which are of public interest.
